spatial audio

Great Ocean Road

December 2019

In my shared studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn, I presented a spatial audio piece prepared on Wave Field Synthesis. Sounds were projected through 24 original sources over 1,000 square feet. Audience members had agency to move to different sound sources, creating a unique audio experience for each viewer based on their personal choices. The audio (monologues, field recordings, music) related to the concepts of Carlo Rovelli’s work (time, sound, and space). This is a simplified “stereo” excerpt of the audio, but it is recommended you listen on headphones.
